These 380mm discs/rotors run up to 30% cooler than OE, and increase cooling efficiency by up to 30%.

F-Series M-Cars come with a fairly substantial 6-pot front brake setup straight from the factory. Whilst the stock calliper works well, the same can’t be said for the discs. The factory 380mm drilled discs may look the part but soon show their flaws with some spirted or on-track driving.

Utilising a two-piece 380mm x 30mm floating design allows the disc and hat to expand radially and axially as they absorb heat generated from hard use, avoiding the most common cause of warping and cracking seen in single-piece discs. Due to the efficiency of this design, MMX discs last considerably longer than factory discs. The friction surface features trademark groves that increase bite and remove debris from the pad surface giving the perfect balance between brake feel and longevity.

The centre hat is crafted from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminium. The grooved discs are constructed from proprietary metal alloys, that can withstand immense braking temperatures while holding form. The discs also utilise 72 directionally curved vanes to forcefully flow cool air through the rotor to dissipate heat.

Internal vanes are used to draw air through the centre of the disc outward, allowing the heat to transfer as it passes. The rotation of the discs and vanes play an important role in brake cooling as it acts as a pump to move air and unlike the OEM brake discs, the disc upgrade consists of a right and left-hand disc to optimise cooling and ensure consistent stopping power for your vehicle.

As the MMX discs dissipate heat much more efficiently, the factory pad compound works much better in real-world conditions; only when you’re using the vehicle on the track would we recommend considering a different pad altogether. But rest assured, you can use OEM or after-market performance pads with the discs.
