The march of time is unstoppable, and with it brings a new M5 from BMW M, this time they've rustled enthusiasts feathers by adding a hybrid drivetrain and making it the heaviest M5 ever made - Some 450kg heavier than the outgoing and much loved F90 M5.
This figure has somewhat overshadowed BMW M's other achievements, such as making it the most powerful M5 ever with 727 horsepower, a fact I'm sure many of the engineers in the drivetrain section of the project will be less than pleased with.
But does all of that matter? Well we still bought one, development never stops here at Evolve and we put the car straight to work to bring new products to you all, and with 1400 miles under his belt it's time for Imran to share his thoughts on the latest, but perhaps not greatest M5.
